This update adds support for Shopify's product disclosures and standard customer events, and makes predictive search smarter with SKU, barcode, and tag matching.

Product disclosures

Added support for Shopify's product disclosures, so required safety and regulatory notices — such as California Proposition 65 warnings or choking-hazard notices — appear in a dedicated section on the product page instead of being buried in the description.

Standard events

Added support for Shopify's standard customer events, giving you more accurate analytics and tracking across the shopping journey, from product views to add-to-cart and checkout.

Search by SKU, barcode, and tags

Predictive search now matches products by SKU, barcode, and tags, helping customers find what they need faster.

Improvided video autoplay in latest versions of Chrome (mobile).

We've fixed some minor design issues in the drawers, after the last update.

This update focuses on increased layout flexibility, smoother cart and product interactions, and important platform-level updates to keep Highlight aligned with Shopify’s evolving capabilities.

New flexible sections

• Flex sections
  Added two new flexible grid sections that allow you to showcase promotions, galleries, or mixed media content in a more dynamic way. These sections are built using Shopify’s new theme blocks system and include 10 configurable blocks, giving you granular control over layout, content, and presentation. The system is designed to adapt to different content types and layouts, making it easier to build visually rich pages without custom development.

Cart & checkout improvements

• Discount codes in cart
  Customers can now apply discount codes directly in the cart, reducing friction before checkout.
• Expandable bundles
  Product bundles can be expanded directly in the cart, giving customers better visibility into bundled items.
• Terms & Conditions checkbox
  Added an optional checkbox to require customers to accept terms and conditions before proceeding to checkout.
• Shop Pay installment terms placement
  Moved the Shop Pay installment terms closer to the product price for improved discoverability.

Product availability & engagement

• Back in stock alerts
  Added a new product block that allows customers to leave their email address and receive notifications when out-of-stock products become available again.
• Localized unit prices
  Updated unit price rendering to use Shopify’s unit_price_with_measurement filter, allowing unit prices to be automatically localized.

Collections & catalog scaling

• Larger collection pages
  Added support for displaying over 200 products per page on collection pages.

Platform & architecture updates

• New account sign-in
  We've adopted Shopify's new unified account component. Customers now get a persistent account icon in the header that opens a sign-in sheet with login options and a dedicated menu. This helps drive more sign-ins and unlocks personalised shopping experiences for your customers. Sidebar account links have been removed as part of this change.
• Combined listings support (Shopify Plus)
  Added support for combined listings for Shopify Plus merchants.
• Expanded variant limits
  Updated Highlight to support Shopify’s upcoming increase in variant limits (up to 2,000 variants per product).
