This update introduces a new Custom section that you build yourself out of blocks. It also adds Turkish, gives the Image banner a separate background for mobile, groups sections by category, and fixes several pieces of text that could not be translated before.

Added

• Added a Custom section that you fill with blocks in any order and any combination. Add headings, text, images, videos, products, collections, buttons, dividers, custom Liquid, and groups that hold other blocks
• Added a separate mobile background image or video to the Image banner, for when a wide background does not crop well on a phone. Leave it empty and the desktop background is used as before
• Added the option to upload a video file to the Video section, which previously took only a YouTube or Vimeo link. An uploaded file takes priority if you fill both
• Added Turkish. Both storefront text and theme editor settings are translated, taking the theme to seven languages

Other fixes and improvements

• Sections are now grouped by category when you add one, instead of arriving as a single long list
• Background images on the Image banner now fill the section from the center. They were being cropped to their top-left corner, so if you positioned a background image by cropping it beforehand, check how it looks
• The price filter label on collection pages, the "each" unit label in the cart, and the "See more options on the cart page" link in the cart drawer can now be translated. They were fixed English text before, so they stayed in English no matter which language a store used
• The countdown banner's hour dropdown now uses an unambiguous 24-hour format, so it reads the same in every language

This update introduces unlimited color schemes and extends them to almost every section, with much finer control over where each one appears. Each scheme can now be controlled from theme settings, so every color it carries takes effect wherever that scheme is used.

Added

• Added support for an unlimited number of color schemes in Theme settings → Colors, each with its own backgrounds, buttons, icons and links
• Added a color scheme setting to sixteen more sections, including the product page, both collection layouts, search results, blog listings, pages, collage, slideshow, contact form, featured collection and product recommendations. Almost every section can now carry its own scheme
• Added a Table background color to every color scheme, applying to the Table section and to tables in page and blog content
• Added a color scheme setting to the blog post itself, separate from the one on its banner, so a post can carry a different background from its header image area
• Added a color scheme setting for the page content on the Page with header banner template, separate from the banner's own
• Extended logo sizing to every logo file type and shape, including SVGs with no specified size, so logos scale to the chosen width regardless of the dimensions saved in the file

Changed

• Important: each color scheme now uses its own Links color. Only the first scheme did so previously and the rest fell back to their text color, which meant a link color set on any other scheme had no effect
• Important: on the Page with header banner template, the page content used to be drawn inside the banner itself, sharing its color scheme and sitting on top of its background image. The content now appears below the banner as ordinary page content, so pages with more than a short introduction read properly. The banner keeps its own color scheme, image and height

Other fixes and improvements

• Translated the opening hours message in the header, which previously always displayed in English including weekday names. German, Spanish, French, Italian and Polish translations are included
• Fixed midday showing as 12AM in the header opening hours when using the 12-hour time format
• The header opening hours now follow the conventions of the storefront's language. AM/PM is an English convention, so a closing time that read as "5PM" on a German or Polish storefront now reads "17:00". The Time format setting still applies on English storefronts, including regional variants such as US, Canadian, British and Australian English
