Exodus

This update fixes all known bugs, adds some new sections and adds variant image grouping to product images.

Added

• We added a quick order list section allowing B2B customers to add multiple product variants to the cart with one click.
• We added a collection spotlight section showing a list of collections accompanied by a collection featured image carousel.
• We added a collections carousel section which shows a list of collections in a horizontal carousel.
• We added a scroll reveal text section which animates a color change of rich text content as you scroll down the page.
• We added an option to group the product gallery images by color, so only the images for the selected color variant are shown.

Removed

• We removed a redundant customer account link from the mobile navigation.

Fixes and other improvements

• We fixed an issue that could cause image-heavy product pages to load blank.
• We fixed an issue that could cause the page grid to collapse to a shorter width on pages with a limited content span.
• We fixed an issue in the media with text section with font sizes not scaling down on mobile devices.
• We changed the countdown section date and time formats to use text inputs. Note that countdown end dates and times will need to be checked and adjusted when updating.
• We fixed an issue with base font sizes scaling down on mobile devices which could have an impact on readability.
• We improved page load performance by removing an unused preconnect that was creating a redundant connection on every page.
• We improved page load performance by removing an unused JavaScript library, reducing the theme's script size on every page.
• We improved mobile collection filters by moving them into a slideout drawer when displayed on mobile devices.

This update adds several new sections and settings, along with a range of bug fixes and accessibility improvements. Color palettes are now supported allowing you more convenience when adding colors to sections and settings.

Added

• Added a "Featured link" setting to the Header and Mobile navigation sections to highlight a chosen menu link in a different color.
• Added an icon option to the product Description and Accordion content blocks so you can display an icon alongside the accordion heading.
• Added an option for the megamenu featured image allowing you to show the image on the left or right side of megamenu navigation.
• Added a section setting for text with icons allowing the icon to show above the text content.
• Added a banner with products section to show a large image or video with a carousel of selected products.
• Added an optional infinite scroll setting to collection pages with a "View more" button to load additional products.
• Added the same optional infinite scroll setting to the search results page.
• Added visual feedback to add to cart buttons — a loading spinner while adding and a checkmark confirmation once the product is in the cart.
• Added five new language translations: Dutch, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
• Added JavaScript events for cart, product, variant and collection actions to make it easier for third-party apps to integrate with the theme.
• Added optional video elements to the multicolumn section blocks so merchants can display video above text along with images.
• Added a new social gallery section which allows you to add your own videos and images. Optionally link to a social media platform like Instagram.
• Added support for Shopify's new color palettes, letting you save a set of reusable brand colors that appear in every color picker across the theme. This allows you to stay on brand without re-entering hex codes.

Fixes and other improvements

• We fixed an issue that prevented the collection banner section being used without an image.
• We fixed an issue with the email newsletter popup that made the page scroll down when it opened.
• We fixed an issue with cart discounts not appearing correctly in the shopping cart.
• We fixed an accessibility issue where links inside off-screen announcement bar slides remained keyboard focusable.
• We improved the accessibility of the size swatch add-to-cart controls on product cards by using buttons instead of links.
• We fixed the size swatch quick add to cart not working on products loaded through infinite scroll, filtering, or search.
• We improved screen reader accessibility by translating button labels into all supported languages and announcing add to cart, filtering and infinite scroll updates.
• Adjusted the scrolling marquee to allow for smaller images down to 30px height.
• We fixed an issue with the product gallery zoom animations originating from the wrong thumbnail image.

This update adds support for Shopify plus enabled combined listings, adds fixes for bugs along with other improvements and enhancements.

• We added category tags to improve merchant UX when selecting sections.
• We added a subtle fade-in to sections as the page is scrolled downward.

• We fixed an issue with the bag icon inheriting the wrong fill color when the header was set to inline.
• We changed the filter collapsible panels to be open by default.

This update contains bug fixes and an improvement in the handling of customer accounts that now supports Shopify's new customer account component.

This update addresses liquid template errors to comply with Shopify's stricter parser requirements.
